In less than twelve hours, I will embark on another trip to Scotland. I've been planning to go back ever since I left three years ago. The bags once again are packed and lay on the floor. Again, I hope I haven't forgotten anything, but I feel much more prepared this go around. I've packed multiple pairs a jeans, now that I know how cool it stays all summer. I've bought some waterproof hiking boots as well. These two additions alone will increase the enjoyment tenfold. I've also managed to pack lighter, and bring proper equipment for the hiking I'm bound to do while I'm there. Of course, I'm brought my camera, so pictures will abound - promise! I will need, however, to get used to not having an iPhone with me at all times *gasp*. I will have access to the internet pretty regularly, so, don't hesitate to write.
For those that don't know, I'm involved in the same program I went to last time (SUISS), only instead of taking classes, I'll be showing the students around - sort of like a glorified RA. I get to go to all of the lectures for free, and they pay me. All in all it is a pretty sweet deal. I won't return to the states until two days before I go back to work. So, It will be a pretty intense, but amazing summer.
I hope to round out a few things that I didn't get to do the last time I was there.
The first few days of this trip, however, I'll be in London visiting my friend Leah. Then I'll be hitting up a train and taking a scenic ride to Edinburgh, when classes start on Monday.
After perusing some of my old posts, I've realized how valuable logging your experiences are when you travel. It stretches out the experience, and locks bits into place that would otherwise be lost to the whirlwind of memory.
So, until we meet again, Sláinte!
